My Mission Experience

A New Suit

Well this week has been insane so far. I haven’t eaten all day, so I’m going to make this pretty short so I can go get some grub.

We went to the city on Monday (I got a new suit from Dillards. $800 suit got it for $175!) and then we went to the city again on Thursday because I got a new companion. His name is Elder King. He was serving with Elder Chronister and before that he was with Elder McGill. He rocks, and we are all ready having tons of fun! Anyway, along with all of that we had to move apartments. We are moving within the same apartment complex, but still. What a hassle. We still don’t have gas in our apartment, so every morning we have to go back to our old apartment and take showers. It kind of puts a damper on things, but things could be a lot worse. I could be like Jackson and be in a third world country with limited electricity and no running water. Haha. That sucks!

So, amongst all of that drama and moving and stuff, we didn’t have the most successful week as missionaries, but it was still decent. I don’t have any cool stories or anything like that that I could update you on. Oh, Elder King and I are going to be giving talks in Sacrament Meeting on Mother’s Day, and then I get to call you guys that night! That should be a pretty awesome day!

Well, I love all of you guys! Thanks for everything. I love you tons!

Love,

Elder Peper

At the Mission Home

Hey mom! What’s up?  I am here in Moore, OK at the mission home right now.

Hey, actually I am about to get off the computer. I may get back on in a little bit to check to see if I have an email from you. I have been doing really good, and I hope to grab a suit in Norman on the way home from Moore today. Oh, I guess you may be wondering what we are doing up here in Moore. Well, Elder McGill needed to meet with President Taylor. I will update you with more details as I know new things. I love you tons. I’m doing really good in Altus and I love being there. I will talk to you later. Sorry about not being around too long. I love you! Bye!

Love,

Elder Peper

Following a Prompting

Hey everyone!

Well, this week was decent. Something really cool happened, though, that I would like to share. A few weeks ago Elder Chronister and I tracted a street. There was one house that, after we left, I had the impression to go knock on that door again at some point. Over the coming weeks, I would see that house and remember that. Finally, this week, we decided to go knock on that door. So, we did and someone answered to door. So we talked to them about our message for a minute and then asked if we could teach more. She said yes, and so we went back a day later. This time her husband answered the door, just as they were on their way out the door. He said that he would like us to come back too, so we are planning on that! That was pretty cool, because I’ve never had something like that happen before.

The rest of the week went okay. We have a lot of investigators that are progressing quite well, and we hope to see them get baptized someday. I’m glad to be here in Altus. Elder McGill is a really cool guy and an excellent missionary. I couldn’t ask for much to be better.

I hope that you guys have fun for Spring Break. Big White sounds like a blast an a half. Take care!

Love,
Elder Peper
