Elder Peper

My Mission Experience

Getting Transferred

I heard from Riley this morning in a bit of back-and-forth emailing.  I don’t actually have a letter to post, but he promised he would write one tonight and put it in the mail tomorrow (he prefers to spend his internet time emailing his friends who are also serving missions around the world).

In any event, he let me know that he is being transferred this Wednesday.  He loves Norman so much and says he will really miss it, but he is excited for the change. He will be transferred to Altus, OK, which is “in the middle of nowhere and has an Air Force Base.”  He says the town has a population of 18,000.  The best part for him, I think, is that he will get a car again.  He seemed very excited about that.  I’m sure his letter will contain more information about that and other things (feeling hopeful, anyway).

He mentioned that President Taylor allowed him to attend the temple this past Saturday with a woman he baptized in Burkburnett last year and who was going through for her endowment. He said it was a really wonderful experience.  I will post his letter as soon as I receive it.  In the meantime, please enjoy this weeks’ photos posted below:

  1. Thanks for the pictures, Elder Sarkady does not send any so it has been nice being able to view some on Elder Peper’s blog. I also wish they would have stayed companions at least a little longer.

    • I wish they would have stayed companions a little longer, also. Sorry I won’t be able to post any more pictures of Kyle. 🙂 I guess it was fun while it lasted.
